| Job Description: |
Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provide psychological counseling for individuals and groups of students. An ability to work with families and participate in the Parent Program is a bonus.
- Coordinate intervention strategies for management of individuals and school wide crises. Part of any crisis response team.
- Identify and provide intervention strategies for children and their families, including counseling, case management, and crisis intervention.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and other school staff regarding social and emotional needs of students.
- Work with Head of Learning Support to coordinate outside of school services for families and individuals.
- Provide translation for Learning Support student meetings and IEP paperwork.
- Set a good example to the students they teach in their presentation and their personal conduct.
- Attend meeting called by Head Teacher, Coordinator and Co-Principals.
- Complete other duties requested by the Head Teacher or Co-Principals.

| Job Requirements: |
- At least a Master’s Degree (MSW, Master of Social Work or Master Degree in School Psychology or Clinical Psychology).
- Native Chinese Speaker with at least conversational English.
- Be responsible for work; be patient, kind and good at cooperation.
- Use multi-media technology in teaching; use office software effectively.

- Excellent communication skills and a public presence which engenders respect and trust from students, staff and
parents
- Detail-oriented person with excellent time management and editing skills
- Have a working knowledge of Primary curriculums .
- Possess a vision of the “big picture” of the school and the need for all departments to work together for the
good of the students
- Advanced competencies in the use of ClassIn and PowerSchool is a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, the working language of the school. |
