1927
Madam Tsang Chor-hang established Yew Wah School in Hong Kong. Yew means “to glorify” and Wah means “China”.
1932
The first Yew Chung School was founded in Hong Kong.
1970s:
After returning to Hong Kong from her doctoral study in Early Childhood Learning, Dr Betty Chan Po-king, Madam Tsang's daughter, inherited her mother’s vision and dedication in education. She became one of the pioneers of Hong Kong’s early childhood education by introducing new ideas and concepts to it.
1980-90s:
The school was expanded to include Primary and Secondary Sections.
Yew Chung International School campuses in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai and other cities in China were set up.
